Nope, first come first serve they told me
Best ramen in the area
As a hardcore fan of ramen, this is the worst ramen place I have been to. I drove 2 hours for this place because it claims it has a professional Japanese ramen chef. I feel false advertised. Let alone it's super unauthentic, it does not taste good. Pork is blank and chewy, super small portion. Weird service, with 8 available spots, the host told me and my friend to wait half an hour. After we sat down and there were two tables available, I saw the host made another party of four wait then seat them at the table that has been available at the beginning. Waitress never smiled at once.
We love there food and we are multi repeat customers. My son and wife are ramen heads and I love the Japanese chicken curry. Now I can add Japanese chicken curry to my curry list.
The ramen is excellent. The broth is absolutely amazing. The service is great too. I love this place.
I want to give it a try even after reading the negative reviews but unfortunately the reviews are largely true. The taste of the ramen was very bland and meat was very hard to chew. Wont be visiting for a second time.
Our first time here. Attentive staff and yummy food at not outrageous prices. I'd definitely come back!
Fantastic vibes and super welcoming service. The menu was crisp and delightful. Will easily recommend this restaurant to friends. Convenient prices and big portions. Keep it up.
If you order food to pick up even after an hour. You will be waiting another hour for it especially the weekend. Myself and someone else went to pick up food and waited 40 minutes they did not even put the order in even though it was ordered before we got there. We said something and they said we had to wait 40 more minutes. I think 2 and a half to 3 hours is over kill waiting on noodles. They need to do better. Plus the customer service stinks. They knew what was going on and did not even communicate it until we got tired of waiting and went to the back to try to get our own orders. I would give them a 0 if that was an option.
Excellent will definitely be going back.
Amazing tasty soup...great service
Absolutely a great addition to the food corridor of Bloomfield Ave. The vibe is energy, the decor is simple, and the Food authentic. No MSG is added. And items are allNatural goodness. The ramen broth reflects lots of labor, fresh ingredients, and overall yumminest. The Spicy Miso ramen is on point and a nice go to dish. The boneless fried chicken is a labor of love.
This spot simply knows how to treat their customers. Regularly with a super nice demeanor. The food is fairly priced, regularly yummy and neat.
Food was ok. Waiter's were not very friendly. Customer service wasn't the best. Unnecessarily long wait times.
Honestly I love me some good ramen and this place has the best ramen around... Or at least near me anyways. Hopefully when you come here you know how to use chop sticks! (They do have forks if you need it) they also serve other food besides ramen like rice bowls, chicken, pork, and etc. It's a very small place, kind of wish it was a tad bit bigger with a little more personal space for smaller parties, but it's still nice for what it is. I recommend giving these guys a try if you like Japanese style ramen!
Delicious food and reasonably priced food. Definitely filling and the takoyaki here is a must have! I've been here on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed once. Wonderful service and kind staff.
Good good. Got the spicy miso and was satisfied by the spice level. Tried the pork buns and pork dumplings as well. All delicious. Service was good.
I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is fantastic and the crew is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we enjoy a cheerful evening. warmly recommended.
Delicious ramen and rarely a wait. Unlike other local restaurants with similar menus, they're open for lunch. Yum!
Nice Ramen and very cordial service! Go for it!
The service is regularly quick, fantastic mood, welcoming employees. Will return here again when I arrive here.
Best ramen in the area. Traditional Japanese flavors and some good izakaya selections like karaage and takoyaki. BYO.
I admire this restaurant! They give first-cleass dishes, their menu is nice, The cook in that restaurant is a real pro, I love very much trying all their dishes. The food is consistently good, the service towards the visitors is good. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic food, atmosphere relaxed and good prices. A cozy type restaurant with excellent service. Street or meter parking lot in rear of restaurant. Owner very nice and friendly. Ill be sure to visit again for more delicious food.
I often take my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is delicious and the crew is generous and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we enjoy a cheerful time. highly recommended.
Ramen is always great, servers are nice and polite, and if you go during less busy hours, the service is fast.
I can't say there was a single flaw with this establishment. From the moment I entered the door, I was greeted kindly and seated almost instantly. The service was fantastic and very attentive to when we needed a refill or simply asking if we needed anything else. We started our meals with the pork buns. I've had them at many different locations, but these were by far the best that I've had. They had a perfect balance of sweet, spice and the pork was cooked perfectly. The Ramen was delicious. It is the best all around I have had to date. The broth was full of flavor and the egg was cookes to perfection. The noodles were not thick which I wouldve liked, but they did surprise me with texture which made up for it in that case. The pork was tender as well as flavorful. The overall presentation was fantastic. I would recommend!
We were going to go to another restaurant, however, we changed our minds and decided on this restaurant. It took a little longer than I thought to get our food but it was worth it. Our meat bun and ramen were delicious. The waitress was super friendly and the menu was simple and easy to read. It's a BYOB, so don't hesitate to take your vino.
Had this at about 930 on a Saturday night. Restaurant was definitely still bustling. The chasu was not as soft as possible and the broth and meat were light on flavor.
Go to alot of ramen places. The best ones are in NY. But if I don't feel like making the drive this is my go to ramen spot in NJ .
Delicious noodles, food serving was bit slow though.
A little confused by this place. After Ani Ramen opened and had ridiculous lines, Fujiya Ramen opened trying to take some of their spotlight. I think they missed the point of why Ani is so successful. It's simple, trendy, and doesn't look like any other Japanese restaurant. Fujiya could have tried a different approach with a truly authentic feel, instead we got a restaurant that looks thrown together with lackluster fabric in place of art. The ramen was fine, but nothing special. We also got an appetizer with no explanation, other than popular Japanese street food, which is good to know, but should explain what it is. I would go back if in the mood for ramen without the wait, but it's not something I'm rushing to do.
Quick service and hearty, flavorful ramen but the bowls are oddly shaped and the portion is a bit too small.
I loved it! Service was good also:)
Broth was excellent. meat was nice and tender. Better than most spots in NJ. Also, very hearty. Staff was very attentive
The food is good and the prices are great. Not as wonderful as Ani Ramen but I do recommend this place. Great service too.
I tried this spot before with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I love the great character and yummy dishes and beverages. Highly recommended.
Great Spicy Miso soup. Good flavor. Love the staff there. It's never too packed like Ani Ramen so we started going there and loved it.
Very modern, with a touch of f traditional decor. Upbeat ambiance and friendly staff. I tried their vegetarian Ramen, the broth was flavourful and savory but not salty. Generous portions, and the food is serve quickly, even on a busy Saturday night. My only recommendation is to add some sort of dessert, since they don't have a dessert menu yet.
I visit this place quite often! This is my favorite spot to eat. I visit this spot regularly. The cooking is just great, the staff is friendly and the charge is decent. I enjoy eating in this spot to have a rich dinner.
Miso Ramen was delicious and wonderful service!
Delicious , the spicy miso ramen is just the right amount of heat without being overpowering, and the shrimp tempura was delicious
The staff and the food are great. Highly recommend going.
Came in for lunch, had the chicken curry rice. The food and service is pretty good, the food was fresh. Portion was generous, I had to take a lot of it home. I just wish the yolk was a little less done on the soft boiled egg.
Nice little shop, it’s less busy than the other ramen shops. There is a limited selection in the menu. We both got ramen, pork and vegetarian. The broth was really rich and delicious but there wasnt enough sides in it. The service was friendly and quick.
Great food, great place!
Tori Karaage (boneless fried chicken) and Veggie Ramen w/shrimp + egg
My wife and I went to Montclair for the sole purpose of trying out Ramen at Ani's. But that Saturday evening Ani was packed with a line reaching out the door and it was raining. So in the spirit of not leaving with our stomachs empty and desire to satiate our Ramen cravings we started to walk down the avenue and stumbled upon this place. We saw that it was full of patrons as well, but luckily for us they had a open table for 2.The staff here are nice, friendly and attentive. We ordered as an appetizer the Takoyaki (wich is Octopus rolled into a ball), for entree I got Chicken Curry for myself and Spicy Miso Ramen with Roasted Pork for my wife. The meal was very good, Octopus full of flavor, my curry was huge and tasty and her Ramen was superb.Although we still would like to check out Ani up the road, we would love to come back to Fujiya and try more tasty meals from their menu.
Authentic Japanese ramen. Better than Ani Ramen a few stores down the street. And not as crowded neither.
I really enjoyed my time at this place. The ramen was really good but they were stingy with the shrimp. The broth was really good as well. The service was good and the place was so clean. I found a new go to ramen place.
They serve generous portions, their soups are very good. A lot better than other similar spots around town. The establishment is clean and the staff friendly. The appetizers are also very good. Will be coming back for sure.
I am becoming a huge fan of this type of restaurants. I tried quite a few restaurants in NJ and in NYAnd I can easily make this my favorite oneLike most of them BYOB I tried the spicy Ramen. And what a surprise, it was hot like it was supposed !!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!boneless chicken wings were AWESOMENote...Good luck finding parking space
